The Hats of the London Olympics
There’s a great city-wide party going on in London and the whole world is invited.
The London Olympics are proving to be a fabulous, global celebration. It’s mind boggling that more than 40 million people all over the world tuned in for the opening ceremonies.
You can bet I was there, in front of the TV screen, my laptop by my side, taking it all in
I’ve been checking in on the events whenever I can and checking out info online too. I love the feel of these games, and I am delighted to see that London is not only in party mode, it is also just full of fabulous Olympic hats. It’s a total hat-a-thon. What more could a hat blogger want? Here are my favorites so far—stay tuned for more as they show up.

Monday Morning Update—The Best Olympic Hat Yet

Last night, the famous statue of Lord Nelson in London’s Trafalger Square got spruced up with a new hat. Isn’t it cool?
He and 20 other statues around London are part of Hatwalk, an initiative of The Mayor of London designed to celebrate British heritage and hats and clearly, as Lord Nelson is sporting a hat adorned with a Union Jack and Olympic torch, to celebrate the London Olympics as well.
Hat’s off to the hero of the Battle of Trafalger. He looks just great. Waiting to see the other 19 contenders and wish I were in London to check them out.
