Amy Landisman is a mom, wife and freelance writer who embraces a by the seat of her pants way of life. The world seems to fly at her at break neck speed and she spends most of her time trying to slow it down enough to enjoy the small, beautiful moments with her family.
She studied journalism and creative writing at Iona College and the State University of New York at Purchase. She has worked as a writer/editor for a furnishings trade magazine, as a corporate trainer (back when people were learning to use Netscape Navigator to browse the web) and as an instructor at a community college.
She loves hiking through the woods, watching sailboats float by from the shores of an old New England town, and cantering a horse through an open field. She lives in Connecticut with her husband, three daughters and various pets.
Amy is currently a columnist for Brookfield.Patch.com, writes for Hubpages, maintains a blog about her struggle with daily chronic headaches, Living with NDPH, and is working on her first novel.
She has been gracious enough to take over a much loved section at Eye On Life Mag. For her articles here, check out Eye On Moms this February 2011. Subscribe to the feed now so you won’t miss a thing.
