The Boys in Their Woolen Caps

    Laughter filled
    the woods
    with every silvery
    breath
    of the crimson-cheeked
    boys
    in their woolen caps
    on those
    bright
    sunny days

    Fearless
    winter warriors
    held tight
    to snow sprayed
    toboggans,
    down glassy hilltops
    their chariots
    charged
    into the
    glistening
    unknown
