Eileen Carney Hulme

Scottish poet Eileen Carney Hulme has won several poetry prizes and been placed or Highly Commended in many competitions. Her work regularly appears in poetry magazines and she has had two collections published Stroking The Air in 2005 (bluechrome publishing) and The Space Between Rain in 2010 (Indigo Dreams Publishing Ltd). In February 2011 she had a poem published in the anthology ‘Soul Feathers’ helping to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Contributors to this book include Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Seamus Heaney, Sharon Olds and the poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy.

Often it's only in retrospect that brilliance is recognised and appreciated. Eileen has a wonderful gift of words, she's a real 'poet of the soul', and it's great to see her words being treasured now.
