Hamburgers and Politics Is Saying Good-Bye »

Hambugers and Politics was one of the original sections on Eye on Life when the site started up. It has had several incarnations—moving from overtly liberal political posts to more environmental and nutrition oriented content, but it has never really developed a personality that stuck.
That’s why this page will be saying goodbye at the end of February. At our weekly skype meeting, we senior editor types decided that the sections of Eye on Life needed some tidying and shaping, and to that end, we decided to take down Hamburgers and Politics.
Roberta will still be doing A Hat for All Seasons and perhaps contributing occassionally to a new section on Eye on Life called What to Serve where all food related goodies, including posts and articles on the politics of food and nutrition will now reside.
Some of the great guest posts from Hamburgers and Politics will find a new home at What to Serve while others will be returned to those who contributed them and will appear elsewhere. What to Serve is already up and running and is a mouth-watering compenium of culinary goodies of food and drink, occasions, menus, recipes, and reviews.
We’re excited and think that specificity and narrowing our niches is the way to make Eye on Life a better experience for everyone.
This is the final post on Hamburgers and Politics and the entire section will be coming down by March first. Thanks to everyone who subscribed and checked in here regularly and left comments over the past year and a half. It’s been great. Onwards and upwards to bigger and better.
See you soon on Hat for All Seasons and What to Serve.
