    I Must Not Stay

I must not write of our Candlelight

I must not speak of our soft delight

    I must not say

I must not try to hold your eyes

I must not prize this life’s surprise

    I must not pray

I must not shake your castle wall

I must not take this feathered fall

    I must not stay
