    Poisoned

    She mumbles
    about the incident
    at the corner store

    “That fucking cashier had
    no right
to search my bag like that”

    Her pupils constrict as
    drops of her dirty blood
    stain my couch

    Her child
    should be due
    in seven months

Too bad I am not that cashier.
